THE BEGINNINGS
In 1971, Jean-Guy Grégoire decided to start his own company. The creation of "Dactylographe Métropole Inc. allowed entrepreneurs in the region to acquire office equipment. He specializes in the repair of typewriters and fax machines.

THE LASER
In 1976, the IB 3800 printing system was the first high-speed laser printer. It operated at 100 prints per minute and combined laser technology with electrophotography.
THE PROGRESS
In the 1980s, the first PCs appeared on the market. The computer was now being used in businesses and homes. The gradual integration of this new market is part of the company's evolution. The Intel 8088, the Commodore 64 or the Apple Macintosh are all the rage as innovations! At the end of this period, the inkjet printer was invented and entered the market. It was very popular and available to individuals for a price of $1000. During this decade, most companies will have at least one printer in their office.
THE PIONEER
The rapid technological progress of the 1990s was marked by the preparation for the year 2000; the 6-digits dates format containing 00, which were to be interpreted as 1900, had to be corrected. In addition, the Internet opened a new chapter in computing. Throughout this decade, the company accompanied its clients through all these changes while improving its skills.
MITCHELL INTERNATIONAL
In 1998, the company announces a partnership with Mitchell International. DMIB became the dealer for the province of Quebec. From this point on, we open a niche that allows us to help body shops by offering them a suite of interrelated software to efficiently manage their business from repair planning to invoicing and accounting.
CLOUD
The year 2000 is marked by the arrival of operating systems and the era of smartphones. A new pivot in computing towards a cloud environment is introduced. Printers were equipped with Bluetooth and infrared capabilities. Throughout these years, the company maintains its original speciality and puts forward its computer services. It also adds a new niche by developing software for body shops to meet their specific needs.
MICHEL GRÉGOIRE
In 2005, Michel Grégoire takes over the company by acquiring it.
MARC MALLETTE
In 2012, Marc Mallette became co-owner and partner of Michel Grégoire.
Always attentive to our clients' needs, we create two software programs in 2012 to help body shops with a replacement vehicle loan management software and a data transfer software.
RPM
In 2020, we are releasing RPM software which is a customizable tool for body shops that integrates with RepairCenter and allows them to effectively manage their productivity thus increasing their profitability.
