PRINTER TECHNICIAN

Summary of duties

Under the responsibility of the Technical Services Manager, the Printer Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance by telephone or in person in relation to printing problems. He/she is responsible for the installation of printers, photocopiers and multifunctional devices sold to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answers and documents service calls;
  • Installs, maintains and repairs printers, photocopiers, multifunctional devices, in shop or at customers’ premises;
  • Performs printer diagnostics;
  • Ensures that printer parts stocks are kept up to date;
  • Performs customer monitoring;
  • Provides support to the IT team;
  • Attends industry related training courses;
  • Any other related duties.

Education and experience required

  • DEP/AEC/DEC in computer support or equivalent;
  • 5 years experience in the computer or printer industry;
  • Good knowledge of Lexmark and/or HP;
